Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued 648 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in the latest Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)-only Express Entry draw. Candidates required a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 791 to receive an ITA.

This draw marks the second PNP-specific draw for the month, with the previous one taking place on October 7, which saw 1,613 candidates invited with a minimum CRS of 743.

Key Highlights:

  • Draw type: PNP-only
  • Number of ITAs issued: 648
  • Minimum CRS score: 791
  • Next Plan: Immigration Levels Plan 2025-2027 to be released by November 1, 2024.

Why PNP Draws Are Important:

PNP-specific draws are part of IRCC’s strategy to support provincial immigration priorities while meeting Canada’s labor market needs. Since May 2024, IRCC has issued over 12,815 ITAs in PNP draws alone.

How Express Entry Works:

Express Entry is Canada’s application management system for three major immigration programs:

  1. Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
  2. Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
  3. Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)

Each candidate is assigned a CRS score based on factors like age, education, work experience, language ability, and more. Provincial nominees receive an additional 600 points, significantly boosting their chances of receiving an ITA.
